Indian Online Fantasy Sports platforms triple their revenue in 12 months

According to the FIFS report by KPMG the gross revenues of the online fantasy sports platforms in India stood at $320 million+ for the FY20 (financial year) as compared to INR 920+ crore in FY19 with close to 50 percent of the transactions in 2019 came from Tier 2 and Tier 3 Indian cities.

The growth of both e-sports and e-commerce have been accelerated by the coronavirus pandemic. E-sports revenue in China grew 25% year on year to USD 16.6 billion in 2019, while revenue generated by the ecosystem, including advertising and merchandising, currently accounts for 24.7% of the total and is on track to account for one third by 2021.
