MLB takes their first steps to activate their “long-term opportunity” in India

Major League Baseball has a “long-term opportunity” in India, according to Jim Small, the league’s senior vice president of international. MLB have launched a grass-root program in India, created a mini-documentary series titled ‘Diamonds in the rough’ featuring Indian baseball stories and have struck partnerships with Star Sports and FanCode to air/stream weekly matches and Highlights. MLB have also signed their first Influencer in Rohan Shreshta to host a weekly MLB show on Star Sports.  

Mumbai Indians launches interactive platforms for fan engagement with a concept of ‘One Family’

Pakistan Cricket and PTV pen US$200m TV deal to show all international and domestic cricket until 2023

The Pakistan Cricket Board has agreed a three-year domestic TV rights deal with public service broadcaster PTV Sports. The PCB said the contract, which is structured to provide increasing revenues over the term of the cycle, could see the national governing body earn in excess of US$200 million.
